23 Social Bar & Grill
Tabilo was tasked with providing contract furniture for a new multi-purpose venue incorporating a bar, conference room and secluded rooftop terrace.
23 Social is an exciting new venue based in Newtown, Mid Wales. Impressed with our extensive range of contract tables and chairs, and years of experience in specifying and providing commercial bar & restaurant furniture, Tabilo was tasked to kit out 23 Social with tables, chairs, bar stools and more, throughout the various spaces in this multi-purpose venue.
The brief was fairly loose. The owners had compiled some social media pictures of colourways, styles and details that they wanted to incorporate into their new venture.
Drawing on our many years of expertise, we helped our client to turn their ambitious project into a reality by specifying and supplying a range of high-quality, durable and visually stunning contract furniture.
The project
The venue was stripped back to brick during its renovation. 23 Social wanted to build on that industrial warehouse style, so armed with mood boards and social media images they had collected, they drew on Tabilo’s years of commercial furniture expertise to turn their ambitious goals into a reality.

The 23 Social team visited Tabilo’s offices to discuss their plans and ideas with our experienced furniture team, and experience some of our products for themselves.

We built on the industrial style cues of the venue with solid wood tabletops, echoing a rustic aesthetic throughout the premises. Durable, comfortable contract seating
In keeping with the rustic warehouse theme, Tabilo provided bespoke upholstered wooden chairs – offering not only the style and high durability required for a busy town-centre bar, but also the comfort needed to keep bums on seats for as long as possible (a feature that was very important to our client).

The venue had a specific colour scheme in mind, and this presented the biggest challenge of the project. While we offer 25 colourways of durable and cleanable Seren faux leather, unfortunately none of the colours were a match for our client’s needs. An additional challenge was that the venue required a mix of fabric and faux-leather upholstery in a matching colour.
As always, Tabilo rose to the challenge. We were more than happy to source fabric and faux-leather from an external supplier as part of our Customer’s Own Material service. We then upholstered and supplied the finished furniture ready to use.
Tabilo pride ourselves on being the most helpful we can be to our customers (it’s literally written on our office walls) so we rose to the challenge. Our sales team spoke to dozens of upholstery companies to locate the perfect upholstery to meet 23 Social’s requirements.
The end result is a visually stunning bar with high-quality, comfortable, durable furniture upholstered in a mix of orange and blue, set against the industrial style of the authentic brick walls and rustic solid wood tables.
Outdoor contract furniture for rooftop terrace bar
Commercial furniture for outdoor use must be durable, hard-wearing, and able to withstand the elements. For 23 Social’s roof terrace bar, our challenge was to provide quality outdoor furniture that would not only stand up to the Great British weather, but also complement the rustic design aesthetic that runs through the entire venue.
Tabilo provided Made to Order Werzalit table tops (available in 46 different decors) each paired with a flip top base colour-matched to the client’s requirements using our Powder Coating service.
The ensemble was completed with our incredibly durable and stylish Strata Polypropylene chair.
